Where does New Year come from? ? (A. Usachev)

Is New Year falling from the sky?

Or is it coming from the forest?

Or from a snowdrift

New Year is coming to us?

He probably lived like a snowflake

On some star

Or was he hiding behind a piece of fluff?

Frost in his beard?

He climbed into the refrigerator to sleep

Or to a squirrel in a hollow...

Or an old alarm clock

Did he get under the glass?

But there is always a miracle:

The clock strikes twelve...

And from nowhere

New Year is coming to us!

Bring us gifts.– Fingers forward, elbows not towards the body press.

Fairy tale "Tanya chooses a Christmas tree" (L. Voronkova)

Winter days passed one after another - sometimes blizzard, sometimes snowy, sometimes frosty and ruddy. And every day the New Year was getting closer and closer.
One day Tanya came from the street crying loudly.
- What are you doing? - asked the grandmother. - Are your hands frozen?
– I didn’t freeze my hands! – Tanya sobbed.
- Well, then what? Did the boys beat you up?
- No, they didn’t beat me off!
- Then what happened?
- They will make a Christmas tree at school... But they won’t take us... They say it’s too far to school, the little ones will freeze... But we won’t even freeze a bit!..
“It’s true,” said the grandmother, “where are you going so far in the cold?”
- Yes! "In the cold"! And there the tree will be all decorated!
- What a disaster! And we’ll take it and dress up ours!
-Where is it with us?
- Grandfather will go for brushwood and cut it down.
- What to dress up with?
- Let's find something.
- Shall we call Alyonka?
- Of course, we’ll call you.
Tanya wiped away her tears and immediately cheered up. After lunch, grandfather began harnessing the horse.
Grandmother told him:
- Grandfather, don’t forget to cut down a Christmas tree for us. Yes, choose better.
“I’ll choose whichever one comes along,” said grandfather.
But Tanya shouted:
- Oh, grandpa, you won’t choose this one! I need a fluffy one. And so that it is straight. And so that it’s thick. Grandfather, let me go with you myself, otherwise you will bring the wrong one!
“Let’s go,” said grandfather. - If you freeze, don’t cry.
“I won’t cry,” Tanya said.
And then she climbed into the sledge.
The horse was trotting along a smooth road.
The forest was quiet, the trees stood completely still. It was as if they were stuck in the snow and fell asleep.
Some bird sat on a branch and shook a snowball from above right on Tanya’s head.
“Grandfather, it’s cold for the trees to stand in the forest,” Tanya said.
“Of course, it’s cold,” said grandfather, “and it’s blizzard and frosty.”
- How can they bear it?
- So, they endure and remain silent - they are going through a difficult time. Just like a person, it’s all the same.
“A man is not silent,” said Tanya, after thinking, “a man will just cry.”
- Well, whoever cries is not a real person. A real person bears trouble silently.
Tanya remembered how she cried in the morning and fell silent.
In the forest, near the road, there was a pile of brushwood. Grandfather prepared it in the fall.
“I’ll put brushwood on the sleigh,” said grandfather, “and in the meantime, you choose your own Christmas tree.”
Tanya walked along the forest road.
Here’s a good Christmas tree, but the branches don’t go all the way down... Here’s another one, also good, but it’s too big, it won’t fit into the hut... Here’s the third one, next to the birch tree - small, fluffy, straight, just the way Tanya wanted it!
“I chose this one,” Tanya said.
Grandfather cut down the Christmas tree and put it on the cart. And he put Tanya on the cart. The horse walked briskly, the runners began to sing along the well-worn road. Tanya sat on the cart and held her Christmas tree tightly.

New Year is coming.

Experiment “Why is the snow soft?”

Goal: to improve children's knowledge about snow.

Materials: spatulas, buckets, magnifying glass, black velvet paper.

Move. Offer to watch how the snow swirls and falls. Let the children scoop up the snow and then use buckets to carry it into a pile for the slide. Children note that buckets of snow are light, but in the summer they carried sand in them and it was heavy. We had to carry the buckets together. What's the matter?

Then the children look at the snow flakes that fall on the black velvet paper through a magnifying glass. They see that these are separate snowflakes linked together. And between the snowflakes there is air, which is why the snow is fluffy and so easy to lift.

Conclusion. Snow is lighter than sand because it consists of snowflakes with a lot of air between them. Children add from personal experience and name what is heavier than snow: water, earth, sand and much more.

Please pay attention to the fact that the shape of snowflakes changes depending on the weather: in severe frost, snowflakes fall out in the shape of hard, large stars; in mild frost they resemble white hard balls, which are called cereals; When there is a strong wind, very small snowflakes fly because their rays are broken off. If you walk through the snow in the cold, you can hear it creaking. Read K. Balmont’s poem “Snowflake” to the children:

Light fluffy Dear stormy

White snowflake, easily sweeps by,

How pure, not to the azure heights, -

How brave! Asking to land...

Fluffy lies

Snowflake is brave,

How clean

How white!

Russian folk game"Snow Woman"

With the help of a counting rhyme, the driver is selected - “Snow Woman”. She is squatting at the end of the platform. The children walk towards her, stamping their feet.

“The snowy woman is sitting,

He sleeps at night, sleeps during the day,

In the evenings he waits quietly,

Goes to scare everyone at night"

At these words, the “snow woman” wakes up and catches up with the children. Whoever he catches becomes a “snow woman.”The game is played 2-3 times.

What is New Year?
It's the other way around:
Christmas trees are growing in the room,
Squirrels don’t gnaw cones,

Hares next to a wolf
On a prickly tree!
The rain is also not easy,
It's golden on New Year's Day,

It shines as much as it can,
Doesn't wet anyone
Even Santa Claus
No one's nose stings.

Why does the Christmas tree need needles? (Smirnov, Alexey Vsevolodovich, P. 50 Why does the Christmas tree need needles? / A. Smironov; artist V. Stakheev. - Moscow: AST Publishing House, 2015. - 33, pp.: ill. - (Pochemuchkina books series).

These are all conifers: Pine, spruce, cedar... Coniferous trees are easy to recognize. Almost all of them are evergreen. And instead of leaves they have needles and needles.

The needles are different. In some trees it is hard and prickly. Others have it as soft as grass. Sometimes the needles are as long as knitting needles, and just as thick.
Green needles are the same leaves, only of an unusual shape. Without green leaves, a tree could not breathe, receive light and heat from the sun. The tree could not live!
Conifers do not have the usual flowers. These are plants with cones. The cones contain seeds from which young trees grow. Seeds in cones are a favorite delicacy of many forest animals. And squirrels, and mice, and wild boars... Even the owner of the forest, the bear, climbs the trees for pine cones. People also eat conifer seeds - nuts. Siberians store pine nuts for the winter.
Conifer trunks contain resin. If someone hurts a tree, the resin will quickly heal the wound.
Conifers live long. Spruce - three hundred years old. Cedar - six hundred. The mammoth tree has been in America for more than three thousand years.
Conifers are the largest trees on Earth. The height of some reaches a hundred meters or more! And the trunk is fifteen meters across! They are distinguished by their unpretentiousness. They don’t need much sun, and they are not afraid of drought, and severe frost is not scary. And the soil can be the poorest, most infertile. There are six hundred different species of conifers on Earth. And most of them live only in the Northern Hemisphere.
Let's get acquainted with the most common and rarest conifers.

Spruce
Well, the spruce forest is dark! You can't see anything ten steps away. The sun's rays barely penetrate the thick needles. Each spruce needle lives a long time - from five to seven years, then, dry, falls to the ground. And during this time, how many new ones will arrive! After all, fresh needles appear every year.
Spruce does not grow very quickly. The Christmas trees that decorate our homes on New Year's Eve are twenty and even thirty years old. And the fact that they sparkle with New Year's balls in city squares can be a hundred years old!

Spruce cones are narrow and long, like carrots. The seeds in them are small and with wings. At the end of winter, when the snow melts and becomes covered with a crust of ice, the cones open. The winged seeds are picked up by the wind and carried along the snow crust far from their native tree, two or three kilometers away.
Young Christmas trees grow from the seeds. Very tender and weak. In an open field they can freeze. Only under the protection of mature trees are they not afraid of frost.

How they decorated the Christmas tree (L. Voronkova)

Tanya's Christmas tree stood in the upper room, spreading out its thick branches. It was as if she had woken up from a forest winter sleep. The entire hut smelled of fresh pine needles.

Alyonka and Dyomushka came to Tanya to decorate the Christmas tree. Alyonka brought two gingerbread cookies, pink and white. Dyomushka brought only one gingerbread, white, and he couldn’t resist the pink one - he ate it on the way.

Tanya's grandmother gave her a whole handful of sweets in colorful pieces of paper. Tanya and Alyonka threaded threads into gingerbread cookies and candies and hung them on the Christmas tree.

And when everything was hung up, my mother came home from work and looked:

Eh, you guys have something runny on your Christmas tree!

Let’s hang the bagel,” said the grandmother. “I saved a whole bunch of them for the holiday.”

The grandmother took out a bunch, and soon every single bagel was hanging on the branches.

But the mother still didn’t like it:

Well, what kind of decoration is this - bagels!

She got dressed and went to the village to the store.

Mother returned from the village very soon, because she walked quickly.

Tanya saw her from the window and rushed towards her:

Mommy, what did you buy?

The mother put a white box on the table, untied the string, lifted the lid...

Oh! – Tanya even took her breath away with joy. - Toys!

If you’re going to decorate a Christmas tree, then decorate it like that! - the mother said and laughed. - Well, what are you looking at? Take out the toys and hang them on the tree.

Grandma also came to the table:

These are toys, they are toys, they shine with all the lights!

Grandma and Tanya began to take toys out of the box and hang them on the Christmas tree. There were also balls - yellow, green, red; and various animals made of gold and silver cardboard; and beads - long, very long strings of beads. And most importantly, there was a brilliant bright red star. The mother stood on a stool and attached a star to the crown itself.

Now I just need some candles...” said the grandmother. - Well, I can’t even imagine where to get candles.

At this time, grandfather came home from work. He slowly pulled the cotton quilt off his shoulders and looked from the kitchen at the Christmas tree.

“Don’t worry about candles,” said grandfather, “the teacher will bring us candles from the city.” I punished him.

Tanya ran up to her grandfather:

Grandfather, did you punish well? Maybe you punished poorly, but he will forget?

“He won’t forget,” said grandfather. - He needs to bring candles for the school Christmas tree too - how can he forget?

New Year's guests ( V. Kudlachev)

Look at this, guys.

Birds and animals are coming,

They are coming from the forest, in a hurry,

They chirp and squeak.

Animals crowded at the door:

- Open the doors, children!

We are hurrying to your Christmas tree,

Let's amuse everyone and make them laugh!

We answered the guests:

- We are all very glad to see you!

Let's have fun together

Spin around the Christmas tree!

How Donkey, Hedgehog and Little Bear celebrated the New Year (S. Kozlov)

Throughout the pre-New Year week, a blizzard raged in the fields. There was so much snow in the forest that neither the Hedgehog, nor the Donkey, nor the Little Bear could leave the house all week.

Before the New Year, the blizzard subsided, and friends gathered at Hedgehog’s house.

- That’s it,” said Little Bear, “we don’t have a Christmas tree.”

- No,” agreed Donkey.

- “I don’t see that we have it,” said the Hedgehog. He liked to express himself in elaborate ways on holidays.

- “We have to go look,” said Little Bear.

- Where can we find her now? - Donkey was surprised. - It's dark in the forest...

- And what snowdrifts!.. - Hedgehog sighed.

- “And yet we have to go get the Christmas tree,” said Little Bear.

And all three left the house.

The blizzard had subsided, but the clouds had not yet dispersed, and not a single star was visible in the sky.

- And there is no moon! - said Donkey. - What kind of tree is there?!

- What about the touch? - said the Bear. And crawled through the snowdrifts.

But by touch he found nothing. There were only large Christmas trees, but they still wouldn’t have fit into Hedgehog’s house, and the small ones were all completely covered with snow.

Returning to the Hedgehog, Donkey and Little Bear became sad.

- Well, what a New Year this is!.. - sighed the Bear.

“If it were some kind of autumn holiday, then a Christmas tree might not be necessary,” thought Donkey. “And in winter you can’t live without a Christmas tree.”

Meanwhile, the hedgehog boiled the samovar and poured tea into saucers. He gave the little bear a jar of honey, and the Donkey a plate of dumplings.

The Hedgehog didn’t think about the Christmas tree, but he was sad that it had been half a month since his clock had broken, and the watchmaker Woodpecker had promised, but had not arrived.

- How will we know when it is twelve o'clock? - he asked the Bear.

- We will feel it! - said Donkey.

- How will we feel this? - Little Bear was surprised. “Very simple,” said Donkey. - At twelve o’clock we will already be sleepy for exactly three hours!

- Right! - Hedgehog was happy.

- Why not a Christmas tree? - Little Bear shouted.

So they did.

They put a stool in the corner, Hedgehog stood on the stool and fluffed up the needles.

- The toys are under the bed,” he said.

The Donkey and the Little Bear took out toys and hung a large dried dandelion on the Hedgehog’s upper paws, and a small spruce cone on each needle.

- Don't forget the light bulbs! - said the Hedgehog.

And three chanterelle mushrooms were hung on his chest, and they lit up cheerfully - they were so red.

- Aren't you tired, Elka? - asked Little Bear, sitting down and sipping tea from a saucer.

The hedgehog stood on a stool, like a real Christmas tree, and smiled.

- No, said the Hedgehog. - What time is it now?

The donkey was dozing.

- Five minutes to twelve! - said the Bear. - As soon as Donkey falls asleep, it will be exactly New Year.

- Then pour me and yourself some cranberry juice,” said the Elka Hedgehog.

- Do you want some cranberry juice? - Little Bear asked Donkey. The donkey was almost completely asleep.

- The clock should be striking now,” he muttered.

The hedgehog, carefully, so as not to spoil the dried dandelion, took a cup of cranberry juice in his right paw and, stamping on his lower paw, began to chime the clock.

- Bam! bam! bam! - he said.

- It’s already three,” said the Bear. - Now let me hit!

He hit the floor with his paw three times and also said:

- Bam! bam! bam!.. Now it’s your turn, Donkey!

The donkey hit the floor with his hoof three times, but said nothing.

- Now it's me again! - Hedgehog shouted. And everyone listened with bated breath to the last words: “Bam! bam! bam!

- Hooray! - Little Bear shouted, and Donkey fell asleep completely.

Soon the Little Bear fell asleep too.

Only Hedgehog stood in the corner on a stool and didn’t know what to do. And he began to sing songs and sang them until the morning, so as not to fall asleep and not break his toys.
